I've raised £60000 to Help fund our Campaign (Walk For Rhinos) to protect and conserve Rhinos from getting killed for their trophies.

Our Story
Safari Embassy has embarked on a journey through a walk campaign called “Walk For Rhinos” to sensitize the general public on the emerging threats facing Rhinos including those that are being relocated to Botswana for safety, and how the communities can be involved in conservation of rhinos. Companies and conservation organizations such as Rhino Conservation Botswana, Wilderness Safaris, Rhinos Without Boarders and other stakeholders together with the Government of Botswana are doing a job well done by relocating Rhinos to Botswana from highly dense poaching environments. We want to walk from one village to the other in the Northern section of the Okavango delta through to Khwai village and finish in Maun. The question we aim to address is how communities can be involved in the provision of safer havens for Rhinos. During the campaign we want to bring on board local communities to learn and understand the great loss the nation go through when rhinos are depleted and how these Rhinos contribute to their economy. In this campaign we also want to encourage multi – sector participation (community included) with one voice to condemn means that threaten Rhinos and destroy biodiversity.
Why are we doing it?
We have come up with the campaign mainly to:
• Promote the role that local communities could play in Conservation by bringing resources such as information and knowledge to these communities with priority to Rhino conservation.
• To diversify local economies by supporting local community participation in responsible conservation for Rhinos and the natural habitat.
• Through the campaign we also want to promote collaborative and enhanced Rhino conservation.
How are we going to make it happen?
We are going to walk from one village to the other holding meetings in each village. During the meetings the community will be addressed on issues of community engagement on Rhino conservation, show a short video on Rhino relocation and conservation. We will also address ways to improve the engagement process and communicate necessary support systems.
