I've raised £2500 to The priority is to trap, neuter and return to locations, the contribution will be used for neutering and medications.

Like in many cities, stray cats, cruelty, neglect & negligence are a common issue in Zanzibar town. Proper education and awareness programs, as well as permanent low cost / free spay and neuter programs are the main approaches this project is planning to take in order to reduce the number of cats that roam the streets. Support animal welfare through the neutering and education
Zanzibar Town is one of the fastest-growing cities in Tanzania but this growth hasn't been well organised and has resulted in a large amount of concerns. Among them is the huge number of cats that roam the streets . Although some owners care for them, many lack money or transportation to access the resources necessary for neutering and medication, Some neglect and abandon them in the street. Additionally, wandering animals suffer from infectious diseases and are left to scavenge and continue reproducing unrestricted.
80% of all cats in Zanzibar live on the street, which is why awareness is an important part of this project. Our partners who are working on bringing together community stakeholders to address the root causes of animal suffering in order to improve cat care, prevent abandonment and support humane population control. Our partners are the region's only spay and neuter clinic to help cats on the streets & neighboring communities. We are committed to neuter and education to reduce high population, please give your support to help stray cats.
Thanking you in advance
