Story
The Saints of Southampton are back with their biggest challenge to date!!
Over the past two years the S.O.S have raised over 20,000 for various causes by putting themselves through gruelling tests that push their mental and physical limits in the name of charity fundraising.
This year is certainly no exception as the team prepare to take on their most outrageous challenge to date, The Trial of Wight.
A 1.3 mile open water swim across one of the most treacherous parts of the Solent, swimming from Hurst Castle (Hampshire) to Colwell bay (Isle Of Wight). Once landed the boys will begin a 71 mile cycle around the circumference of the island and as if that wasn’t enough for the team they will finish this mammoth challenge with a 71 mile relay run around the islands coastal path, all continuous, without sleep, back to back to back.
If all goes to plan it’s anticipated the boys will be on the go for roughly 29 hours straight, Swimming, cycling or running but if you’ve been following the S.O.S journey you will know it rarely goes to plan, but…. They always get it done.
The team have already selected 3x beneficiaries for this challenge, one for each discipline.
- T1D diabetes for kids, Southampton
- Golden Ring ABC
- Abby’s Heroes
We have also again partnered with the Chapter 8 foundation who will also be picking 3x beneficiaries of their own. (TBC)
All charities are local and they all will receive a 1/6th share of 100% of money raised. Please like share, donate anything you can.
Thank you for your continued support
The Saints of Southampton. ❤️ LFG.
