SAIQA MEHRBAN WELFARE TRUST
It all happened after my sister, Saiqa passed away approximately 2 years ago with brain cancer. She suffered from glaucoma & underwent many eye operations. We as a family wanted to do a Sadke Jariya in her name & felt we wanted to do something that will benefit people in Pakistan. We brainstormed different ideas, eventually felt that food and shelter were the basic necessities. How rewarding would it be to know that you could get a meal three times a day to feed your family? So the idea of a Langhar Khana (Food Hub free to all in need) came!
My old man (Baba Jee), who is now 70yrs old underwent treatment for laryngeal cancer. The idea of a Langhar Khana alone was not sufficient for him. He decided it was going to be a langhar khana plus a shelter & on top of that a clinic for cataracts patients, a maternity unit and medical unit (free medical supplies prescribed by Doctors working on the trust site). All these aspects of care are available to all those desperately in need & living well below the poverty line in Johrabad, Pakistan. Baba Jee took that all upon himself, although he himself has lost his voice secondary to radiotherapy. It hasn‘t slowed him down, Alhamdulillah. It is with the blessings of Allah swt & sincere du’as of friends & Family that he has got to this stage today, where Alhamdulillah, many people have had their eyesight restored post cataracts on day One of opening! Thousands of families in this rural village are struggling for basic necessities, which many of us take for granted.
I humbly request you to support & help provide a better life for our Muslim brothers and sisters. Jazak’Allah Khairun.
