Story

So many of you know that I started up a rescue rehabilitation centre in January this year. Although I have rescued dogs in small quantities for years, how little did I know about the enormity of what I was undertaking and the costs involved in running a kennels. I clearly misjudged my conservate estimated of £4k a month which we raised to get it started.
So wind forward 5 months later, wow, have I learned loads. I now have a great team of staff and the kennels have rapidly filled becoming a safe haven for dogs and lives are being saved on a daily basis. You can see their faces and waggy tails on my facebook page Sakimas Sanctuary In the last 2 months 8 dogs have been rehabilitated and gone in to loving homes.
The sad news is I am full to capacity and am now having to turn away dogs, meaning some are inevitably being Euthanised through no fault of their own and it breaks my heart having to make the ultimate decision on who I can accomodate and who I can't.
So this is where you come in. There is a block of 8 kennels on site that have not been used in over 20 years (Picture above)and in need of complete renovation, but this of course costs money. However with your help that's 8 more spaces for at least 8 more lives to be saved. Even with voluntary help materals are needed. On top of this I need to get a cheap run around van to enable me to transport the dogs to the vets when treatment is needed, nothing fancy, but a dog friendly vehicle to keep them safe whilst travelling, as we can't afford the vets call out charges.
Every £1 helps and for those that cannot afford £1 a share of my justgiving page is of equal value.
Thank you
