I've raised £200 to help people combat cancer by accessing other therapies and treatments not available on the NHS that work along side the medical model.

On Sunday 1st October I will be attempting to run the Great Scottish Half Marathon in Glasgow. This will be my first (and probably last) half marathon as many of you know I am not the most natural runner, however this is definitely one race worth running.
A close childhood friend recently suffered with Breast Cancer age only 36. She undertook 6 rounds of chemotherapy followed by a bilateral mastectomy and immediate reconstruction.Through all of this she stayed positive, kept active, followed a healthy diet and accessed complimentary treatments which made a huge difference to her recovery. She is now helping others by fundraising and supporting other cancer patients to access therapies that can and do make a real difference to how they feel, alleviate side effects and support their rehabilitation when cancer treatment is over.
Then only last month my lovely cousin who is also only 36 was diagnosed with a 4.5cm tumour in her left breast. (she was heavily pregnant at the time and had to deliver her baby early.
My cousin is one of the strongest, most positive, inspirational ladies that i know and love, and really would love to able to help her and others in the same situation. I would love to help them access other therapies and treatments not available on the NHS that work along side the medical model and help combat their cancer eliminating it for good.
Any money donated would be so greatly appreciated and could help save a life. Thank you all.
