As a dementia link worker covering the East Lothian area for the past 18 months working alongside the community nurses we feel that there is a need for a group that offers support to people with dementia, their families and friends in the east end of the county. There is currently a very successful group in Musselburgh which is run by Hazel Johnson my Alzheimer Scotland colleague. Hopefully a group in the east end of the county will be as valuable a support.

Along with my colleagues Marjorie McCafferty, Suzanne Walker, Liz McDougall, Ruth Boyd and Agnes McKnight we will walk on Sunday, 30th October, 2016, from East Linton along the John Muir Way to Dunbar Town Centre.
