Thank you so much for those who previously donated, we have raised nearly £2,000 so far which is amazing, but we still have a way to go. So with this in mind we have relisted our appeal. Thank you so much for those who have enquired about how to donate.

Lisa is a 29 year old young lady who has cerebral palsy, is quadriplegic, epileptic, suffers chronic lung problems and is reliant on her family for all her needs 24 hours a day.

Lisa comes from a family who enjoy getting out on their bicycles, whether it be around the local roads or bmxing. Unfortunately we cannot all go out as a family, Lisa is wheelchair bound and always needs one parent to stay home with her, this means we cannot enjoy this activity together and can be completely isolating not only for Lisa but for us as parents.

We need help to fund a specially adapted bike that can be ridden by an able bodied adult but clamps the wheelchair onto an inbuilt trailer at the front of the bike as seen here. www.vanraam.com unfortunately these are very expensive.

Given Lisas' condition is life limiting, when she no longer requires the use of this bicycle, we would give it to another family in a similiar situation so they to can have the pleasure of riding out as a family also. This could happen numerous times giving many families to experience this wonderful opportunity.

The difference this would make to Lisas' life is immeasurable, she has a strong spirit and has has fought hard to still be alive, she has endured pain most of us could not bear. We know she would love being out with us all, giggle the whole time and enjoy what most of us take for granted.
