Story

I'm raising £5,000 for a children/youth project

Hello, and thank you for visiting my page.

My name is Jess, and I am a speech and language therapist with a passion for supporting Autistic children and their families. I currently work part-time in the NHS and part-time independently, specialising in autism support and communication development.

I am beginning an exciting journey to work with a truly inspiring centre in Burundi, Africa – a one-of-a-kind place that supports Autistic children and their families in a region where no government services currently exist for this population.

This centre not only provides direct support, but also works to raise awareness of autism and challenge stigma in the local community.

I will be self-funding a visit to the centre in October, where I will deliver training and support on the ground. In addition, I am hoping to raise funds to take out much-needed resources, materials to support the children and their families.

Any contribution, big or small, will help provide equipment, extend training opportunities, and strengthen ongoing support.

Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of these children and help build a more inclusive and understanding future.

Thank you so much for your support.
