Saltshaker Christmas Hamper Project

Saltshaker is a community volunteer organisation providing practical support, combating isolation and building community within Binfield and the surrounding areas.

For the last few years, Saltshaker has provided The Cowshed with gift food hampers to share with families in our area experiencing hardship at Christmas but each year some families have missed out. This year, we have been asked by The Cowshed to provide 1,500 hampers to make sure that everyone can receive this gift. We expect more than 250 volunteers to join us at the Binfield Community Centre to personally pack the hampers across the weekend of November 22nd and 23rd, including volunteers from local schools and community groups.

The hampers will be delivered to families by The Cowshed alongside their Christmas Present appeal which in 2024 supported more than 2,500 children. Read The Cowshed’s 2024 Christmas Project Report
