I'm raising £1500 to support our friend Berhanu and his family in Northern Ethiopia whose shop was destroyed during the recent war.

Story

Our dear friend Berhanu lost a leg as a child, but he won't let that slow him down. Not only is he an excellent dancer, but he is a dedicated, hard worker and great friend to YellowWood Adventures travel company founder Sam.

Berhanu lives in the Northern Ethiopian province of Tigray and in 2019 we helped raise enough money for him to purchase the equipment needed to open a barber shop. This shop created a sustainable livelihood that supported himself and his family.

Tragically, the shop was looted and then destroyed by Eritrean soldiers during the recent war in Tigray, and we are hoping to help him and his family rebuild once again.

In Ethiopia a little goes a long way, and we are hoping to raise £1,000 for Berhanu to now open a small convenience store that he and his disabled sister can run together.

We would be so very grateful if you could donate, and thank you so much for taking the time to read about our lovely friend Berhanu and with your help we really can make a huge difference.

YellowWood Adventures was founded in Ethiopia in 2016, and will again be contributing to support our friend Berhanu.
