I've raised £7500 to fund a permanent memorial for Sam Myatt which will also enhance the lives of future generations of children in our community

Look out for 'Team Sam' who will be running the 2019 Gnosall 10K in Sam's memory, wearing their Sam shirts.
Sam enjoyed running: training for the 2016 Gnosall 10K with Gnosall Ladies Running Club.

Aged only 20, Sam Myatt tragically lost his life in a car accident on the 13th January 2019, on the A518 in between Stafford and Haughton.
Sam was a much-loved member of our community and always loved his football, both as a fan (of Man City) and player with AFC Gnosall. He joined AFC Gnosall in September 2011 (poached from neighbouring Eccleshall!) and was a brilliant addition to the under12's, winning the club's first ever 'Golden Boot' award! Sam continued to play a key role in the club for a number of seasons initially as a player and then as a coach to the younger children. Sam's family is still actively involved with AFC Gnosall with his two younger brothers, Charlie and Henry, currently playing in the under 11's and under 8's teams.
In memory of Sam, we would now like to raise as much money as possible to fund a permanent memorial which will also benefit our community and future generations of children playing football in Gnosall.
AFC Gnosall and the local community are combining forces in a mission to raise funds via various activities. As a tribute to Sam, we hosted an amazing memorial football match (with Sam's former team members and peers) on 2nd March
And now the focus is on the Gnosall 10K. Some of Sam's family and friends (including a number of AFC Gnosall parents) have taken up running with a mission to complete the Gnosall 10K on 15th June in memory of Sam. This will be no mean feat and the first 10K race for some of the team.
Please donate and reward 'Team Sam' for their amazing efforts and come along and support the 10K on race day, we would love to see you all there!
Sam's family and AFC Gnosall would like to say a heartfelt thank you for all your support, we truly appreciate it.
Sleep tight, young Sam, we are so proud of you and we will never forget you; our community is a poorer place without you.
