Weʼve raised £2,415 to Support Humanitarian causes in memory of Sam Pegram

Funded on Tuesday, 31st March 2020

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

We are looking to raise funds in memory of our much loved son and brother Sam Pegram, who was tragically killed on board a Boeing 737 Max, flight ET302, in Ethiopia on 10th March 2019 aged just 25.

In the first official fundraiser, Tom Pegram brother to Sam, has released a single in his memory. Entitled Never Smile Again (My Bro) you can find the link here:

    https://soundcloud.com/thegram_music/never-smile-again-bro

If you like what you hear please consider a donation, however great or small, it is all greatly appreciated.

The collection at Sam's funeral raised a fantastic £972 which has allowed us to set up the Sam Pegram Humanitarian Fund. Every penny raised will go directly to supporting causes that Sam was passionate about.

We hoped to raise another £500 with the release of this single in his memory. We have already beaten that so we are aiming for £1000 now.

It was Sam's birthday on 20th February and the first anniversary of his loss is approaching on 10th March. While this is an extremely difficult time for us, we would like to do something positive in his memory.

Funds will be used to support selected grass roots charities that Sam was involved with or has links to via friends and former colleagues both abroad and in the UK.

This will be based on projects to help refugees, initially in Jordan where Sam worked for 2 years, and with charities that support refugees settling in the UK, such as Refugee Action York where Sam volunteered while studying for his Masters degree.

Please help us in spreading the word.

There is a limit of 550 words on this update so I will post more information on our new Sam Pegram Humanitarian Fund Facebook page. You can see more about RAY here... http://www.refugeeactionyork.org/
