I am going to be competing in the Coventry Half Marathon on 5th April 2020 alongside my husband Mark and friends Louise & Phil Slater. I‘m doing this to herald the end of twelve long, long months of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy after being diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in November 2018. Prior to me being diagnosed, I wouldn‘t have dreamt of taking part in something like this. It’s going to be tough but i will complete this, join pain, nerve damage and fatigue aside. My main focus for doing this is to give back as much as I can to The Arden Centre at University Hospital, Coventry, so we’re going to be donating every penny raised to the fantastic Ardens Angels. I’ll be doing this not only for myself but for every man, woman and child that have been affected by cancer.
