Story
Hi my name is Sam and I am collecting money to go to Tanzania by walking the West Highland Way. This is part of a charity project at Derby Grammar School (DGS) which has been running for a few years now. DGS is working with the local community in Tanzania and a school called Gedeli B School and so far has funded and built toilets including a disabled toilet, fitted electricity for the school and running water and this year we are hoping to build dormitories including facilities for disabled children. This is changing the lives of the Tanzanian children and, thanks to all the hard work and the generosity of people like you Gedeli B school is now one of the best schools in Tanzania.
The West Highland Way is a 154 km (96 miles) trail on the west coast of Scotland, from Glasgow to Ben Nevis. I’ll be walking the trail over Easter 2018 before going out to Tanzania in summer 2018.
Thank you!
