Story

My name is Sam Chapman, and my dad went to school with Valentina and Sebastian's dad. He is called Andrew, but to us, he's Knol. Knol was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2015, and has lost the use of arms, hands, legs, voice and is fed through a stomach tube.

In June, I am cycling from Brussels to Lisbon. I asked Knol if I could raise money for a gap year trip for his kids, and he said yes.

My ride is unsupported and will cover 4,000km. This means that for the most part i will be camping, and carrying everything i need to be self sufficient.

It averages out at 142km a day, however some days will be longer and some shorter.

I will be setting off from Brussels on the 31st of May, and i am to arrive in Lisbon for the 28th of June.

Hopefully something great can come out an adventure i am scared & excited for in equal measure.
