Myself and Orlaith are going out to Bemenda,Cameroon at the end of August to volunteer in an orphanage. We have paid for our own flights accommodation and upkeep etc. We would like to be able to make a lasting difference to these children.

Many people have offered to donate items to take over but unfortunately we are unable to transport many items with us. So we decided that is everyone would be generous enough to donate a few pounds each then we could buy items out there to donate. Not only making a difference to the children but the local community too.

If we were to raise more money than necessary to buy the cheaper items such as stationary, books, clothes and toys then we would like to look at purchasing as many lifestraws as possible. If you haven't heard of them please check them out, they are a fantastic way of purifying water and the company will donate an extra lifestraw for every one purchased.

I will set up a facebook page that we will post into during the 3 months there so you can all see exactly where your money is going. When I have done this I will add the link to this post.
