Three other intrepid (some would say foolish!) Chiddingstone School mummies have joined me to walk 55k of the epic South Coast Challenge on Saturday 25th August. Our aim is to raise as much money as we can to support a cause very dear to our hearts.

My son recently started at Chiddingstone school and is currently requiring some additional support as he settles in there. The provision and the care put into making him feel happy and settled have been truly impressive and very touching.

He is not alone as it is estimated that about 40% of ALL children will require additional support at some time in their school life. SEN covers such an incredibly huge umbrella of needs. A child may need support for a short time or as an ongoing provision throughout their school life. All schools are under enormous pressure now in regards to funding, especially in this area. Chiddingstone are working incredibly hard to ensure that they remain a fully inclusive school but in the present climate this is not easy.

Myself and my fabulous team henceforth known as the 'Chiddingstone Sole Sisters' would therefore like to raise money for the school to support them to continue to ensure that EVERY child is given the opportunity to blossom (whatever their challenge) and to make the most of all their strengths and abilities.
