Weʼve raised £10 to help fund project Hotdog Macclesfield Homeless Support. Provide provisions for the homeless and a soup kitchen to start
- Funded on Thursday, 22nd December 2016
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Project Hotdog Homeless Support was started in Hull earlier this year by two amazing friends Chris Winn and Carl Simpson. It involved a £5 note and how many homeless people they could feed. The hotdogs purchased fed 40 homeless people. From then the project in Hull has gained momentum, 36 volunteers now assist the homeless and other projects, distributing clothes, food and providing emotional support. Even opening a cafe to help raise vital funds.
My mission is to expand the work to Macclesfield, first to start with a soup kitchen and a team of volunteers in an indoor facility once a week, followed by raising funds to provide sleeping bags, food and warm clothing as well as birth certificates which can be a barrier to gaining employment, identity and benefits, alongside emotional support and signposting to appropriate services .
My aim is to provide the best xmas possible for all homeless individuals in the Macclesfield and surrounding areas.
Please donate what you can so this can be made into a reality!
Any sponsors or support from local businesses or food donations are very much welcomed.
