Dear family, friends and the community. I have some incredibly exciting news to share! My 16 year old Francesca has been selected to attend a highly prestigious model United nations (MUN) conference at Harvard University in the USA this coming January. As many of you know Francesca is deeply passionate about science, history and politics. Being chosen for this mock U.N programme at one of the worlds top universities is a massive honour and a testament to her hard work, dedication and academic commitment at Maidstone grammar school. At the conference, she will join exceptional students from across the globe to debate pressing world issues, learn diplomatic negotiation and build leadership skills that will shape her future. Whilst this a dream come true, the cost of sending a student from the U.K to the United States is substantial.
