    Story

Just when we thought that Sam was beginning to recover following two emergency operations in July 2016, which saw the remainder of her ruptured Appendix, Sepsis and a large part of her Colon removed, came the devastating blow that changed our lives in an instant.
On Monday 8th August 2016, my beautiful 33 year old sister and best friend, a caring Mother to two gorgeous young boys was dealt her unexpected diagnosis; Stage 4 Incurable Metastatic Colon Cancer.

Sadly, since we first set up Sam's previous justgiving page, she has been dealt more devastating news; Secondary cancers in her Pelvis/Urethra, Lungs and most recently Sigmoid Colon. Despite this Sam’s desire for life along with her positive, brave and determined attitude continues to shine. She never ceases to amaze us with her phenomenal fighting spirit.

Sam is currently on second line chemotherapy and has so far endured 18 cycles of chemotherapy in total.
We are currently trying to raise funds to cover the cost of tests and private therapies/treatments that aren't available on the NHS. Finding Sam the best treatment available is imperative to help prolong her life. We hope this will also allow Sam to spend valuable time with her loved ones.

This is where we need your help.. absolutely any donation, no matter how big or small will help to assist my precious sister in her fight for a longer life.

Over the the past 6 months, there have been several fundraising events for Sam and in total with our previous justgiving link over £40,000 has been raised. We will be holding further fundraisers to try and reach the rest of our ultimate goal which is £80,000 which we hope will go a long way in getting Sam the required medical help. We will continue to post regular updates on Sam's progress so you can follow her journey and battle against Cancer.

Thank you for taking the time to read Sam's story and for your generosity and support. My family and I are eternally grateful X

Sadly my precious sister lost her battle to cancer on Monday 9th July 💔 She was still fighting until the very end. We are so proud of the positive attitude she held which has helped us throughout her cancer journey. Thank you to everyone for the support you have provided, not only to Sam but for my family too and thank you for your very generous contributions so that Sam could stay with us for as long as she did. We’ll forever be grateful. Any monies will now go towards Sam’s number one priorities; her beautiful boys Liam and Theo ❤️ X

A lot has happened in the past few months. Sam has had a Nephrostomy procedure to help protect her right kidney. She also started a new private treatment called Avastin. Unfortunately she is currently in hospital unwell and they’re not sure of the cause yet. Tests are ongoing so we hope to have an answer and a well Sam soon 🤞🏻Thanks to the wonderful Nadine who held a fundraising Pilates class in March for Sam which exceeded £1000 and to our 2 London Marathon Runners Jane and Mark who have raised a fabulous £2500 so far between them! Amazing!

The last few months have not been good for Sam with news of progression with her current tumours and confirmed new tumour in her rectum. Despite this Sam still holds her head high and will not be defeated 💪🏻 Our fundraising efforts are more important than ever! A massive thank you to all who attended our Gala Dinner last Saturday which raised £10,015! £2003 of that amount has now been donated to Beating Bowel Cancer as promised and the rest towards raising our current target to get Sam cancer treatment which is not offered on the NHS X
