I've raised £10000 to Help the I Afrika street boys project to turn three acres of underexploited land into a sustainable farm to produce food and income

I Afrika is a grassroots organization which provides holistic care for boys left to fend for themselves on the harsh, unforgiving streets of Nairobi. Many of them (some as young as five) have been beaten by the police, used and abused by criminal gangs, preyed upon by sexual predators and become addicted to glue and jet fuel, which they sniff to cope with their fear and hunger. I Afrika runs a home and a school for 50 rescued boys and provides food and medical outreach to hundreds more . So we have drawn up a plan to give I Afrika’s boys and staff the skills to turn the centre’s three acres of underexploited land into a sustainable farm producing fresh fruit, vegetables and eggs to provide nutrition for the boys and a surplus to create a valuable source of income. So I am raising funds to pay for training, tools, irrigation pipes, seedlings, fruit trees, chicks, vaccinations and chicken feed. If you can give even a few pounds to buy a chicken or a few yards of irrigation pipe you will make a huge difference to the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable children. Thank you!
