A special young girl who is a close friend of my cousin Katelen has been recently diagnosed with sarcoma cancer. As you can imagine, she was completely shell shocked at the news and wanted to keep it to herself and not cause a fuss, this is her way of dealing with it.

Cancer is the one thing that we all hear about and just wish it never happens to any of our loved ones, but unfortunately it can happen to anyone. Dealing with this is not easy, especially at such a young age. Instead of living life to the fullest - like most teenagers her life has to be put on hold for a short while, as unfortunately for the next few months she will be facing chemotherapy and then radiotherapy.

After speaking to her parents, her close friends have decided they want to raise funds to organise a trip to Disneyland, so that she can have something positive to look forward to and be excited about and take her mind off this difficult time and all of the suffering and discomfort she is enduring.

She is going to kick cancers ass!

My son Aiden who is 7 years old wants to help and as much as he adores his locks has offered to shave his hair off for the cause. He will be doing so on Thursday 19th July (we will film and take pictures before and after).

I have decided to challenge myself and as much as I’m more inclined to do weight-training over cardio any day of the week as I HUGELY DISLIKE running 🏃‍♀️ 🙈 😬) I am going to do a half marathon on 2nd September. This absolutely scares the day lights out of me 😳 given I only do a 5-10 minute cardio warm up each day this is definitely above and beyond my comfort zone! However, challenging ourselves is the only way we learn to grow, and especially when it’s for a cause that can help someone in a way to make a difference!

I’m also thinking of putting together a raffle, my next door neighbour owns an electrical company and has kindly offered to donate a smart or flat screen TV and I’ll throw in free products too and programs / fitness / nutrition plans. Any of my friends who want to help with this (I.e; free photo shoot for raffle winners / free products or merchandise) or anything you can think of would really help so much, no matter how big or small the gesture it all helps 🙏🏽
