I've raised £1000 to help promote people talking about their own mental health, and getting support if required.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In January, I’ll be taking on a personal challenge: running 10 kilometres every single day throughout the month to raise money for Whysup, a mental health charity founded in Bolton by Mark Murray, who attended the same school as I did. Their work focuses on raising awareness of mental health issues and encouraging people to seek the support they need.

I’m taking on this challenge in memory of my dad, Mark, and to highlight the importance of looking after ourselves—both physically and mentally. Over the past couple of years I’ve learned just how vital exercise, support, and conversation can be during the toughest times, and this challenge feels like a meaningful way to honour that.

Running 10k every day in January will be no small feat—between the weather, the dark mornings, and the physical toll, it’s going to be a serious mental and physical test. Staying injury-free is perhaps the biggest factor so fingers crossed. But I will be giving it absolutely everything I have to get to the finish line.

Any donations will go a long way and are much appreciated.

Much love, Sam X
