I'm raising £500 to Support Sam’s Army Mission 1 Life

On the 28th of May 2021, Sam Haycock went with a few mates to Ulley Country Park, to celebrate the last day of the school year. While walking around the reservoir, tragedy struck, and Sam lost his life. He was just 16.
This devastating event forever changed the lives of Sam’s parents, family and friends, so they decided to start raising funds to help prevent anyone else suffering in the same way.
SAM’s Army Mission 1 life was created and so far we‘ve raised enough funds to purchase 15 throwline stations and place them around the open waters of south yorkshire.
Along with the throwline stations we‘ve provided 55 ruck sacks to aid the local rangers managing the open waters and Emergency Services
Sams Army have organised annual events such as “SAM‘s Army Fun Day“ at Clifton Park, Rotherham and attended many other events with our own stall.
We have attended many Schools and Acadamys etc to provide educational talks to young people.
Our aim is to increase awareness of the dangers associated with swimming in open water and to raise funds to provide necessary life saving equipment.
The objective is to save at least 1 life.
