I've raised £300 to aid the continuous development and support of a Malawi Village

Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page! Here is a little more information about the village of Ballykajoni.
A small village in Malawi that goes by the name of Ballykajoni this year has been struck by famine. Locals struggling to find enough food for their families and the boss in the town, Chief Allen, is doing his best to help all he can. First Magherafelt Presbyterian Church has maintained links with Chief Allen and the people in Ballykajoni, supporting the village since the year 2002 when a member of the congregation Dr Maureen Stevenson was working as a consultant in David Gordan Memorial Hospital in Livingstonia. Since then First Magherafelt have sent out numerous teams to help build relationships with the people, share the good news of the Gospel and help with what we call "Malawi Projects." Over the years these projects have included building an Orphan Care Center, a new Church roof, a Maze Mill, a Welding Station and accommodation for the teams that the church sends out. All donations will go directly towards helping support and develop this community further.

Shipping containers are sent out with books, clothes and other supplies for the village. As I head out this year to Malawi I hope to work with the local football team which is connected with the local church to help share the good news of the gospel through sport. Unfortunately, the resources that the football team have are minimal and so I am also gathering footballs and football boots for the team out there which as you can see in the photos below the footwear commonly consists of flip flops.
