I'm raising £3000 to get to the Deaf Rugby World Cup in Japan October 2026

Story

Rugby has given me some of the proudest moments of my life. Becoming a World Champion is something my younger self would never have believed was possible.

Now, I have the opportunity to do it all again.

I’ve been selected to represent Wales at the 2026 Deaf Rugby 7s World Cup in Japan, taking place at the end of October.

Wales won the previous two Deaf Rugby 7s World Cups in 2018 and 2023. Victory in Japan would make us back-to-back-to-back 7s World Champions, secure Wales’s third 7s World Cup title and become the country’s fourth Deaf Rugby world title overall.

For me personally, it would mean becoming a two-time Deaf Rugby 7s World Champion.

Pulling on the Wales jersey and representing my country is an honour I will never take for granted. This tournament is about more than rugby to me. It represents everything that has happened since I lost my hearing: the challenges, the opportunities, the people I’ve met and the experiences I never thought I would have.

However, representing Wales in Deaf Rugby is completely self-funded.

Unlike many professional athletes, every player is responsible for covering the full cost of taking part. I need to raise £3,000 to help cover my travel to Japan, accommodation, kit, training, nutrition and other essential tournament expenses.

That is why I’m asking for your support.

Every donation, regardless of the amount, will take me one step closer to Japan and allow me to focus on preparing to perform at my best. Your support won’t just help fund a trip, it will help me represent Wales on the world stage and become part of our attempt to make Deaf Rugby history.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page with your friends, family or workplace would also make a huge difference.

Thank you for reading my story, supporting my journey and helping me chase my second 7s World Cup title and Wales’s fourth world title.
