I've raised £1000 to provide a family respite swim session and meal for S.A.N (Supporting Additional Needs)

S.A.N (Support Additional Needs) Neath and District is a volunteer run support group for parents and carers of children / young people with various additional needs. They provide direct support ranging from coffee mornings, family and well-being events to treatment days, drumming workshops and guest speakers.
The group is run entirely by volunteers and the group relies exclusively on donations to keep running, Check out their video here -
- you can’t fail to be moved by how much it means to people who attend. It’s a vital lifeline to many families in South Wales.
This year I have set a target to raise money for this fantastic group to allow them to continue the excellent work that they do. The money will go towards providing a Family Respite swim session with meal for members of the group that spend so much of their own time, effort and money looking after their children, family and others.
So what can an out of shape diabetic do to help? I thought I'd start low and attempt two challenges in 2020 – the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge in May followed by the Swansea JCP Half Marathon in June. The Welsh Three Peaks covers a total walking distance of 17 miles (with an ascent of 2334 meters) in 24 hours and the half-marathon adds another 13 miles of Swansea Bay. If you'd like to follow my trials and tribulations of training for this - then here you go: Hills There, Run That. My Running Blog
Please donate as little or as much as you can to support this fantastic group - and also to motivate me on the long treks up and down the Swansea valley while training
