Story

Sandeep Shinde is an artist from Mumbai. He has been trying to raise money to support himself and his family for a number of years by posting it for sale in art groups on Facebook.

Sadly, he has been attacked by other 'artists' who criticise him, insult him & bully him, even threaten him. Despite this, Sandeep is forever the gentleman, never reacting, only being thankful.

Because of the inhumane treatment that Sandeep takes, and for his passion to create art - he has gained an army of fans who created a support group in his honour called The Cult of Sandeep. It is a movement based on positivity, love, appreciation, freedom of speech and freedom to create art and be a respected individual.

Sandeep lives in a slum area of Mumbai and has very little money. His roof is made of corrugated iron and he has the basic necessities to exist in his tiny home. Despite his apparent lack of western comforts - he remains always positive, optimistic and hopeful that he can try and make a bit extra with his art to support himself and his loved ones.

Sandeep gets a lot of criticism for asking prices around $2-3000 dollars for his work - which to many of us is money we simply don't have. I have asked myself what would I spend $3000 on - and what would Sandeep spend $3000 dollars on - and I can't help thinking that if $3000 was flying around - Sandeep would be the most deserving recipient of such money that could literally change his life.

What I am trying to do is raise $3000 to buy one of Sandeep's best artworks. I am hoping that if we can achieve this - the deed will amount to modern art itself - a depiction of good winning over bad - achieving it's goal and putting money into the pockets of those who need it most and creating a real feel good story of compassion and humanity. We would like the art to be displayed in a gallery once received. It would also silence all his critics.

Please help us achieve this by donating any amount and support international art with humanity.
