Story

ARE YOU ABOUT TO BECOME SUBMERGED IN A SEA OF INCOMPREHENSIBLE FORMS, ASSESSMENTS AND DEADLINES?

HELP IS AT HAND !!

WHY DO WE STILL NEED MONEY? The need for our services has now spread across more of London and Surrey than ever before; we need funds to pay for our travel to these new areas.

WHO ARE WE? We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) - a non-profit- making body funded by local MS groups and designed to maximise benefit income as well as social care support. And all provided at no cost to you!

WHAT DO WE DO? Claiming disability benefits and ensuring that care packages cover basic needs are complex processes for all and stressful to many. SAMS (Support & Advocacy for Multiple Sclerosis) aims to remove the complexity and stress by providing expert help, advice and guidance.

Whether completing benefit applications, social care planning, having disability equipment installed or simply helping to secure a Blue Badge, the process is the same. We will visit you at home and accompany you to all assessments, meetings and appointments; we will approach the various agencies on your behalf; we’ll write the letters and complete the forms; and finally keep pushing and enquiring until we achieve what you feel you deserve.

SAMS CIC won’t charge you, won’t leave you to deal with the DWP or social services alone and won’t walk away until the best possible outcome has been achieved. Our record is second to none in terms of results and we are happy to make this invaluable resource available to MS groups. Every £1 spent by groups commissioning SAMS generates over £100 in hard benefit cash, together with non- monetary benefits such as Blue Badges, obtaining disability-type equipment - or a reduction in stress in applying for benefits.
