Story
Our Story
Arriving in Tanzania in mid Feb 2025, Sandy and Rupert have spent the last month visiting different NGOs, schools and foundations across Africa with one purpose: to offer our time, experience and expertise (business, partnerships, fundraising, sales, finance) to support projects focused on education, woman empowerment and community development, for some of the world's most vulnerable communities.
So far we have created volunteer guidelines and onboarding documents, taught English, Maths and Science, funded student hospital visits, created marketing material to promote different volunteer programmes and helped prepare and deliver iftar meals to hundreds of orphans.
How can you help?
Many of our amazing friends and family donated generously to help us reach and surpass our target to donate 100 food packages to 100 families in Tanzania, reaching 160 in total! These food packages have now been delivered to the families in need through the Assalam Community Foundation in Kizimkazi!
All future donations will go toward further projects we will work with. This could cover school supplies, student sponsorships, food donations and community development projects.
Approximate costs:
Eid Clothes ----- £25 / child
School supplies ----- £40 / child
Student school sponsorship ----- £115 / child per year
Food packages ----- £25 / family for 5 days

1 food package will contain enough food to feed a family of four, 3 meals a day for 5 days.

£25 / 225 DKK / 45 SGD ----- FEED ONE FAMILY for 5 days
£50 / 450 DKK / 90 SGD ----- FEED TWO FAMILIES for 5 days
£100 / 900 DKK / 180 SGD ----- FEED FOUR FAMILIES for 5 days - be a hero.
Any donation, no matter the size, WILL make a difference! We will be right here in the village, organizing the food collection, packing it, and personally distributing it to the families.
We’re currently working on our 4th project; the Assalam Community Foundation. Among their many impactful projects, Assalam school provides education to hundreds of orphaned children and distributes food packages to those in need. This is especially crucial during this month of Ramadan, as they provide Iftar (the fast-breaking meal) to help support families in their community

Whether it’s Danish Crowns, British Pounds, or Singapore Dollars, every penny will go straight to these initiatives. Sandy and Rupert will be withdrawing the funds, shopping for supplies, and working directly with the projects to ensure your donation reaches exactly where it’s needed.
Our Work So Far...
We are on a self sponsored journey to visit different communities, understand their problems and to offer our time to help those in need.
Whilst we are here on the ground, we are hoping to raise funds collectively for a range of foundations we have researched and worked with. These are all founders, teachers and students we are meeting and working with, some need training, some need school materials and many need food donations, especially during this month of Ramadan.
