I’m Santiago, and I’m running because too many young people grow up surrounded by violence and silence — and I refuse to accept that as normal.
United Hearts stands for prevention, dignity, and real second chances. It was created to honour a life lost to domestic abuse, and today it works so that no more lives are defined by fear. When I run, I carry that mission with me.
Why does this matter to me?
Violence doesn’t start with headlines. It often starts with isolation, untreated trauma, and young people who feel they don’t belong. I’ve seen how easy it is to drift towards destructive choices when support isn’t there — and how powerful it is when someone steps in early.
For me, running symbolises direction.
It’s choosing discipline over chaos.
Purpose over anger.
Community over isolation.
Every mile I complete represents:
Breaking cycles instead of repeating them
Strengthening mental health before crisis hits
Proving that young people can lead change
What your support does
Your donation fuels practical prevention:
- £10 helps provide immediate emotional support in moments of crisis
- £25 supports structured youth mentoring focused on resilience and leadership
- £50 contributes to safe, supervised spaces where survivors and young people can rebuild
I am committed to reaching my fundraising goal — but more importantly, I am committed to the message behind it.
If you can, please donate.
Run this journey with me.
Let’s build safer communities — one mile at a time.
