Dr. John Bridson worked at Barnsley District General Hospital as the Lead Pediatrician from 1976 until he retired in 2000. For many years, Special Care Baby Unit was a home from home and it feels so fitting that tributes to John, in lieu of flowers & in celebration of his life, should be requested in his name. In retirement, John pursued international humanitarian aid work and so our second charity is Maternal & Childhealth Advocacy International (MCAI), of which he was a patron. He offered his all to the children who needed him and to their families too. It will bring his family such comfort to offer a humble continuation of his life's work as a small token of thanks, and with untold appreciation of what he offered and achieved.
