OUR BEAUTIFUL DEBS

In 2011 my lovely sister-in-law, 'Debs' lost her battle with the dreaded 'C' word and passed away far too young at the age of just 51. One of Debs' many favourite pastimes was walking in Heaton Park - an excuse to enjoy the fresh air and keep healthy and fit, but more importantly an even better excuse to catch up on the gossip with the girls. Together with many of Debs girlfriends and my gorgeous niece Katie, we are taking part in the upcoming Heaton Park 'Glow In The Park' fun run to try and raise enough money to pay for a bench which we can locate in a favourite spot of Debs within the park. This will serve as a permanent reminder of the amazing, fun, loving and all round fabulous person that Debs was, in a place where we all spent many happy hours over the years. Manchester City Council set the cost of the plot, bench and plaque which is £1,500.00.
