Hey Guys,

I will be taking time off from GP training in the UK this November to travel to Greece and do voluntary medical work in refugee camps with the Syrian American Medical Society ( SAMS) for three weeks. Insha'Allah.

I will be self funding my trip but I want to raise at least 2000£ for SAMS to support both their work with refugees in Greece and most crucially the hospitals they support in Syria. ( The latest in Aleppo which keeps getting bombed!!)

Also since this is how these things go anyway I'll be running an Ultra hilly 10k in Bath on the 13th of November for a bit of masochism to encourage you to sponsor me.

I don't need to tell you how dire things are. This is the very least I feel able to do and I hope you give generously to support the work of those risking their lives to recover the last semblance of hope in a crisis that will go down as one of the most shameful failures of humanity.
