On October 27th, I am heading out to Bobo Dioulasso in Burkina Faso, to help build a school nursery.

Everyone on this trip to Burkina Faso pays their own way....we cover all our own costs. BUT we do need to raise money to fund the building project that we are doing!

Here's the backstory.....

Burkina Faso is one of the world's poorest counties, but in the community of Bobo Dioulasso, we are making a difference...

For the past ten years, Freedom Church has supported the community in Bobo, working with the local community to build a school, administration block, pharmacy, and playground. Through the links that we have with the community, and Compassion International, we have have sponsored over 170 children in the community...meaning that some of the most vulnerable children and families are receiving much needed support and education.

What I'll be doing....

I'm really excited to be a part of the trip this year....and am looking forward to being able to help make a positive difference. I'm only playing a small part....I will probably be helping to clean and lay bricks, and put my DIY skills to the test....but as a team, and working with the local community, we will be making a difference!

Megan and I also sponsor four children in Bobo, and what's fab is that I will get the opportunity to visit them and their families, and see our sponsored children in the Compassion project...what an incredible privilege.
