Two years ago my body kept swelling and I was in and still am in immense pain. Drs couldn't find the cause and even after a nuclear scan on my kidneys still nothing. So I was offered the chance to have a stent inserted to go from my kidney and into my bladder, sorry tmi, to help me pee basically. However, that 20 minute operation turned into a 5 hour one as the surgeon discovered growths at the bottom of my kidney. Thankfully they were benign but how were they missed? Apparently the scan was taken at the wrong angle😞. The stent was a success and I could finally go to the toilet properly and the swelling subsided really quickly x however this was only a temporary solution as a large operation was required which I'll be having in a few weeks time. My job as a dementia nurse with the NHS can be trying and recently a patient jumped on my back thus dislodging the stent. It then had to be removed and once again I am in agony and swell, especially under my eyes, legs, ankles and hands x I work 14 hour shifts which doesn't help with the swelling. So my reason for asking for help? My confidence has hit zero due to stretched skin under my eyes due to excess fluid gathering there. After my operation I want to have this saggy wrinkly skin removed and have normal eyes again. My job is not well paid at all so I cannot really save and don't have the means to pay off a loan. I want to get my confidence back and feel better so my young sons can enjoy things with their mummy again. I'm not sure if my kidney will be removed as yet because the damage can't be assessed until my operation but the stretched skin is a constant reminder of my condition and I want rid x please any help would be eternally appreciated.
