Story
The event is to take place at 2.30pm on 3 December at blu house barbers, Killigrew Street, Falmouth. Donations can also be made here prior to and during the event.
Jacob has been inspired by a recent tv advert for the NSPCC and an understanding that not all children have support, love or care at home and so has decided to have his hair shaved off to raise money.
Jacob was taught at primary school by Mr Barnes and whilst attending that school the very sad diagnosis of his son, Stanley, with a terminal and debilitating disease called Sanfilippo type A had quite an impact on a lot of the children and parents alike.
Sanfilippo type A is incredibly rare, there are only about 40 children in the UK with the disease. It is a disease with no cure but Fundraising efforts are focused on raising enough money to send Stanley for treatment in the USA if and when the opportunity arises.
