Story

Reyn is our only child. He is a cheerful and brave little boy that in a young age of nine had surpass things that seems impossible to others.

His right eye was diagnosed with Unilateral Microphthalmia and is blind since birth. He needed to wear an artificial eye so the muscles and bones in the right side of his face will form normally. Aside from his eye, he was also diagnosed with multiple heart conditions such as Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), and Coarctation of the Aorta and have had two heart surgeries, one when he was only five months old and the the other one was when he was four years old. Months after his last heart surgery, another one was done for his undescended testicles.

That time, he was also under observation for having signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder. It is a neurological and developmental disorder that affects how a person acts and interacts with others, communicate, and learns. It is a lifelong developmental condition.

Year 2012, we needed to go back to the Philippines and it is here that his Autism was confirmed.

As soon as we learned of the new diagnosis, we immediately joined Autism Society of the Philippines to help us understand our son's journey with autism. We also started to find ways to save money for his future knowing that he may not be able to find work and support himself when he grows up. He still need regular heart check ups and occasional adjustment for his artificial eye. These are all considerations that will last throughout his life.

One of the ways we thought that could help us provide for his future is to publish the book I am currently writing about his life. This will also promote Autism Awareness and may inspire others to not give up in difficult times

We are aiming to publish 500 copies of the book and we are humbly asking for your help to make it happen. Any donation will be a big help.

Thank you very much and God bless.
