I am fundraising for the small loco group at Nene Valley preserved railway.
A small group of primarily 20 year olds who are looking to overhaul 'Derek Crouch' a Duchess of Warwick class loco to become operative.
The loco of high historical importance to the NVR.
They hope to achieve this by 2024 in time for its centenary.
It is fairly unique as only 3 of this class have survived, with only 1presently running.
It is a good sized loco to teach new and younger members the skills to restore steam engines to enhance and develop their engineering dept.
It is very poular with NVR members as it was one of the 1st locos to run on the preserved railway.
