I've raised £1000 to help support Eckersley House, Leeds & The Acorn Ward, Hull

Hi, my name is Harry, and I’m 12 years old. This November, I’ll be running 5k every day to raise money for two places that mean a lot to me: the Acorn Ward at Hull Royal Infirmary and the Sick Children’s Trust in Leeds.
When I was just a couple of months old, I was rushed to Leeds General Infirmary with a serious condition called Intussusception. I had to stay in the hospital for a month. Because we lived far from Leeds, my parents stayed at Eckersley House, run by the Sick Children’s Trust. They provide a place for families to stay close to their seriously ill children. I want to give back by raising enough money to buy items from their wish list, so other families can have the same support my family did.
In 2017, I became very poorly again and had major bowel surgery, which resulted in a long stay in Hull Royal Infirmary. It was a tough time, but the Acorn Ward looked after me, and now I want to help them too. I’d love to buy craft supplies and gifts for the children who will be staying there over Christmas, to make their stay a little brighter.
This challenge is my way of giving back to the people who helped me and my family, and I’d be so grateful for any support!
