Story

On May 29th at 5pm i am going to shave off my hair. Why are doing that Sarah? I hear you ask, you have such a lovely head of hair I hear you say. Well. The reason I am doing it is for money? In fact my target is £1000!!! It’s not a lot to ask for is it? Would you like to know what I’d do with it if I was to rise this amount? It would go to Ty Gwyn Residential home which is run by Hafod. Hafod is a non-profitable organisation which relies on charitable donations. As you may have heard on the news there is a virus going around which means the residents of Ty Gwyn cant get out and they are unable to see their families face to face. The majority have dementia and don’t understand what is going on and often get confused or feel they have been abandoned. My aim is to provide Ty Gwyn with money to purchase items such as garden furniture, games and anything which will keep the residents occupied and make life a little easier for them until “this is all over” My mum Phyllis is one of these residents and it breaks our hearts only seeing her on a photo or through a window. However the only thing that gets us through is knowing how well she is being looked after by a fabulous team and I really want to give something back so i am pleading with everyone who reads this (you may have to read in 2 sittings) to dig deep and please donate what you can to a fantastic home. The head shave will be broadcast via live feed on facebook. Thank you all in advance.
