    Story

Sooo I am planning to do a ‘3,2,1’ challenge (Running 3miles, Rowing 2miles and Swimming 1mile - all done consecutively!) This is all in aid of the INCREDIBLE charity that I work for RubyGirlUK & Ruff Diamondz (Ruff & Ruby) and I would love for you to support me.

At Ruff & Ruby we aim to see young people overcome the factors that affect their self-esteem & become stronger. We pride ourselves on excellence, generosity, passion and inspiration; demonstrating kindness, love and compassion to Stoke on Trent’s young people and the wider community.

We work with 13-25 year olds through a range of creative and innovative programs including delivering topic-based roadshows and workshops in high schools/colleges and other establishments, lifecoaching (which I co-ordinate), VIP - the social action branch of our work, helping young people to realise their true worth and value and also by offering employability and work readiness opportunities in our social enterprise – The Ruff & Rubyrooms!

Ruff & Ruby is a non-profit organisation and therefore relies on the generous donations of others, which then goes back into the work that we do with Stoke on Trent’s young people, helping them to cope with the social and emotional challenges that they face.

An example of one young person that I have personally seen the work of Ruff & Ruby directly impact is a 15 year old girl. By engaging with the Lil Gemz lifecoaching with myself, this young person felt secure and safe to talk to me about an issue she had with the misuse of medication. By having someone to talk to without judgement, and by putting appropriate action plans in place, this young person no longer misuses medication – AMAZING!

I would love for you to support me in my fundraiser for this fantastic charity and help us to transform the lives of young people that we engage with.

    Thank you!
