So for those of you who know me well will know how blessed I was last year to be a BIG at the RFK camp which is weeks residential for children between 6-11 who are in the looked after care system!
I get to do that all over again next week!! The camp is an amazing week filled with fun, excitement love and attention for young children who have already been through so much in their short little lives. Last year I will admit I was a little cynical at how much a difference one week could make to these children but man was I wrong. The difference I saw in the children I worked with last year was phenomenal and something that will stay with me forever. I simply cannot wait to do it all over again!
The camp will be for just over 30 children and the beauty of it is that it costs not one single penny for them to attend. However of course the camp comes at a massive cost - in fact £250 per child which all the volunteers at camp have worked tirelessly to fundraise!
I am fortunate that through work I have been given the opportunity to take a weeks unpaid leave to go to this camp! So I ask you to support me to make a difference to these amazing children who deserve more! Whether you can give £1 or £100 know that to one child you have made such a difference.
