Story
In November, Everything Changed
In November, my sister’s husband, Mark, woke up one morning and couldn’t talk. Alarmed, my sister rushed him to an emergency doctor’s appointment, and he was immediately referred to the hospital.
After a long day of tests and scans, we received devastating news: doctors had found two lumps on Mark’s brain. Though shaken, we tried to remain hopeful as we waited for further answers. Sadly, the MRI scan a week later confirmed our worst fears—Mark has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. His condition is untreatable, and his remaining time is heartbreakingly short.
This diagnosis has completely upended their lives. Mark is no longer able to work, and my sister is struggling to keep their household running on her salary alone. To make matters worse, due to Mark’s visa status, they are unable to access financial support from the benefits system.
Right now, Mark is undergoing an intensive three-week treatment to manage his condition and provide him some comfort. But the reality of their financial situation is overwhelming. My sister needs help to cover rent, bills, and day-to-day expenses during this incredibly challenging time.
Why I’m Asking for Help
I want to raise funds to provide my sister and Mark with some financial relief, allowing them to focus on making the most of their time together without the constant stress of money. Every contribution—big or small—will go directly toward supporting their household expenses and alleviating the financial burden they’re facing.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this message would mean the world to me. Thank you for taking the time to read their story and for any support you can provide. ❤️
