Story
Our riding school provides much more than riding lessons; it offers a safe, supportive and welcoming environment where both adults and children can build confidence, develop resilience and experience the positive impact of spending time with horses. Many of the people we teach are struggling with mental health challenges, including anxiety, low self-esteem, social isolation and emotional difficulties, and for some, coming to the riding school is an important part of their wellbeing and support network. A new, purpose-built arena would allow us to provide a safer, more accessible and reliable space where our riders can learn and progress throughout the year, regardless of the weather. It would also enable us to welcome more people who could benefit from riding and equine-assisted activities, while providing a calm, structured environment in which they can feel a sense of achievement, connection and belonging. Investing in a new arena would therefore be an investment not only in our riding school, but in the physical and emotional wellbeing of the children, adults and families we support.
