Please help Our Sweet Shih Tzu, Ebony, Get Life-Changing Surgery

We’re reaching out for help for our beloved Shih Tzu, Ebony. She’s 8 years old and the sweetest little dog you could ever meet. Recently, Ebony began limping, and despite rest and care at home, she wasn’t getting any better. After several vet visits and x-rays, we received the heartbreaking news that her back legs are deformed and misaligned.
To relieve her pain and help her walk properly again, Ebony needs a surgery called TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy). This procedure is commonly done to treat torn cranial cruciate ligaments (CCL) in dogs, stabilizing the knee joint and allowing them to live pain-free.
Sadly, Ebony’s insurance has already been maxed out on the diagnostic tests and vet visits leading up to this point. She was scheduled for surgery earlier this week, but had a severe reaction to the pre-op medication, and the operation had to be canceled. Even though she didn’t have the surgery, we were still billed over £800—completely exhausting our financial safety net and leaving us with no insurance coverage left for the actual operation.
We are absolutely heartbroken, and we just want Ebony to have the chance to live a happy, mobile life again without pain. We’re now facing this alone and humbly asking for help from our friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers.

£4000 is a quoted price. If we do get donations that exceed what Ebony needs. The remaining money will be then used to pay forward everyone kindness. It will be donated to another dog in need of surgery.
