Story

On 9 September 2018 I am cycling 100 miles - "The Big Belter" from Glasgow to Edinburgh and beyond.

I am raising money to help support the amazing work of Sudden Cardiac Arrest UK and also to help fund a Defibrillator in my local area. As many people who are close to me know I was lucky to survive 3 cardiac arrests in May 2016.

I was able to survive the cardiac arrest as I was given CPR immediately and also received a shock from a Defib. So giving others a chance to survive by having access to a Defib is extremely important to me. At the moment we don't have a Defib within my village and I would like to contribute towards once being bought.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest UK are an online organisation who offer support, information and guidance to cardiac arrest survivors, their family and friends. They have been an amazing support to me since 2016 and they have helped me through some difficult times. The have an amazing understanding of what happens to people who have cardiac arrests and have also enabled me to have a laugh again. I would like to fund raise for them to enable their good work to continue.

Both Sudden Cardiac Arrest UK and a Defibrillator are causing very close to my heart.
