I'm planning to raise £5,000 across a range of fundraising options for disability support for a special little boy very close to my heart. I am going to do whatever it takes to meet the target one way or another for as long as it takes to get him the Safe Space Bed that he needs. Beds range from £5,000-£10,000 dependant on each childs specific needs! I will be updating this page as time goes by in light of the various fundraising activities that I will be doing. (This is my first time doing this so suggestions of fundraising ideas or if anyone would like to help or join and support me along any way, help is most welcome).

My first fundraising activity is a Women’s Solo Hyrox Simulation on Sun 24th August. I have signed up to this event allowing myself just 1 month to prepare. (I have attached a picture at the bottom detailing what I will be going through on the day).

Having the pleasure of him and his amazing mummy in my life has meant that I have sadly learnt so much about the lack of support physically, mentally, emotionally and financially for families in their position. The sad fact is that in NI the parents of children with special needs are expected to jump through millions of hoops day to day to simply try and just meet their children’s needs and enable them to be safe both day and night. As for the support from local trust services or organisations for funding it’s sadly just not available and the expectation is then left on the families to attempt to pay out huge amounts of money, which can be an overwhelming and impossible task when there may be so many items that a child may need.
