    Story

I'm not very good with words nor would I normally ask anyone for help but on this occasion I felt compelled to do so.

I am a serving Police Officer with British Transport Police.

On Friday 17th April 2020 our much loved, respected, kind, thoughtful and charismatic colleague and friend John (JC) Coker sadly passed away from Coronavirus.

JC was taken ill only three weeks ago and in that short time this wicked illness has taken him away from all his family, friends and colleagues. He leaves behind a wife Annie and three sons - Dennis, Jerome and Jayden who all adored him.

JC has been an integral part of the BTP family for over ten years and most recently he worked as a Detective Constable within the CID department at Euston Station. JC was chilled out and took everything in his stride. He could always be relied upon no matter what was asked of him and he never moaned or complained about anything. Oh and we mustn't forget the bright and colourful jumpers which he wore that never failed to lift our spirits. We used to ask him to wear a specific colour the following day and he always met the challenge.

For these and so, so many other reasons we will all miss him terribly.

All of JC's colleagues at Euston would like to raise some money which would be used to help and support his family in these very difficult times. Any donations no matter how small would be gratefully received.

Sleep easy JC. We know how much you loved your sleep!

    Thank you.

There are far too many of you to thank individually for your kind gesture of donating and the wonderful words you have written for John. Thank you all so very much. His family will be so grateful. X
